It is one thing to cut from one shot to the next. But match cuts are used to connect two shots with similar shapes, audio, or even motion and thus often act as smooth transitions. Match cuts are displayed throughout my video story for Week 9, where the protagonist enjoys the house to himself for the night...or at least he thinks he is alone. I have always produced stories with a bright and comedic feel to them; so taking a crack at producing a story that leans more towards the horror genre felt nice for a change. And besides, it's almost Halloween.
